A floral black tea aperitif with citrus lift
A lightly sparkling tea cocktail built on structured black tea and soft rose. Bright, aromatic, and slightly dry — perfect before dinner or on a warm afternoon.
Ingredients
1 sachet or 1 tsp loose leaf black tea
1 tsp dried rose petals (or ½ tsp culinary rose water)
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
Sparkling water or dry prosecco
Ice
Optional garnish: fresh rose petal, lemon twist
Directions
Brew the black tea strong (about 5 minutes). Add rose petals during the last minute of steeping. Strain and allow to cool completely.
Fill a glass with ice. Add 2 oz brewed rose black tea, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Stir gently.
Top with sparkling water for a non-alcoholic version, or prosecco for a spritz-style cocktail. Garnish with a lemon twist or rose petal and serve immediately.
Flavor Profile
